Born in 1902, The Rebbe assumed leadership of the international Chabad-Lubavitch movement in 1950. The legendary results of the initiatives he created and developed have touched the lives of millions of people from all walks of life, helping significantly strengthen and positively alter the landscape of Jewish life the world over.

Chabad-Lubavitch is currently the world’s largest and fastest growing network of Jewish educational and social service institutions, with over 4,000 branches and a liates in all 50 states and more than 110 countries.
